Bumper Crop organic soil builder - the soil amendment other garden centers wish they could sell

Read below about how, in a side-to-side test we conducted, a plant grown in Bumper Crop out-performed one planted in the nationally advertised and extensively promoted Miracle Gro Potting Soil.

In our comparative test we started out with two New Guinea Impatiens plants that were substantially identical (same tray from same grower) - in fact, the one planted in Bumper Crop was a somewhat smaller than the one planted in Miracle-Gro Potting Soil.

They were kept in the same location and conditions and watered identically.  They were not fertilized in light of the large banner on the front of the Miracle-Gro bag proclaiming that it “Feeds Plants Up To 6 months!  With Miracle-Gro continuous release plant food.”

Within a few weeks the difference was dramatic: the Bumper Crop plant was doing nicely, having grown a good deal and come into flower.  The Miracle-Gro plant, though also in flower, was distinctly smaller and looked unhealthy.

We were not surprised at all at how the Bumper Crop plant was doing.  But frankly, we were surprised at just how badly the Miracle-Gro plant was performing.  Until we checked the small print on the back of the Miracle-Gro potting soil bag and – notwithstanding the big "6 months" banner on the front of the bag – found the statement that for "even greater" [huh??] results, one should "supplement the nutrients of this potting mix by using Miracle-Gro plant food".

So we started to fertlize the Miracle-Gro plant. This made a difference, and by the two-month point the Miracle-Gro plant at least looked respectable – but was considerably smaller than the Bumper Crop plant.

Clearly, the lesson is - why bother with the Miracle-Gro?  There's no better buy in the soil/soil amendment universe than BUMPER CROP organic soil builder!

Incidentally, if our own test isn't enough to convince you, here's a link to an amazing unsolicited user testimonial and picture.
